The power of Gratitude

My question for you today is, “Why is gratitude important?”

Gratitude is one of the very first principles that any person learns in life, because I do not know of a mother or father who did not teach there children to say those two words, “thank you“.  The sad part is that not a lot of people teach their children the power principle behind these two words.

I believe that if people were to simply teach their children this one simple principal and the power behind it, the whole world would be a much better place.

I never see a grateful person who doesn’t seem to always have a smile on their face.  Even when bad things happen, they are still grateful.  You might ask, Why?  The answer is because that person has learned lessons from their misfortune that can be applied in the future to prevent those things from happening again.  If you are a grateful person, you are a happy person, and I don’t know a happy person who does bad things to other people; and that is why I say the world could be a much better place if people just taught their children this one simple principal.

But this is only one piece of the gratitude puzzle.  The other piece has to do with the Law of Giving — or Sowing and Reaping.  One cannot exist without the other.  We cannot give gratitude without something good coming back to us.  If you are grateful towards somebody for what they have done for you, then chance are they will continue to do kind things for you.  But the opposite is also true.  If someone does not show gratitude for something you have done for them, then you are going to be less likely to do good things for them in the future out of your own free will, and thus diminishing the flow of good going toward that person.

Let’s look at it from another angle and put God, or the Universe, in the picture.

Is there any person to whom you can say “thank you” for the air that you breath or the water you drink every day?  These are two things for which you can say thank you only to God or the Universe, because they were there from the beginning of time.

Or have you expressed thanks for people who acted on their ideas and did not say to themselves, “It will not work” or “people will think I am mad”?  I am talking about the Henry Fords and Thomas Edisons of this world, because without people like them we would still be without  cars, telephones, and even this computer you are sitting in front of.  You may have never known them, but God, or the Universe, created them; and by expressing gratitude for them, it is as if you have thanked that person in person, and you have unlocked the law of Gratitude in your life and opened the floodgates of good things coming to you.

A grateful heart and attitude tells the universe, “this person is grateful for what you have given him.  And the Universe responds by saying, “I will give him more”.  How big it will be or how fast it will happen, we do not know, but what I do know is that if you throw a ball into the air ,it will come down because of the Law of Gravity, and the same is true with the Law of Gratitude.  It always works the same way — what you give will come back to you.

The great Roman statesman, Cicero, once said “Gratitude is the mother of all virtues.”  James Arthur Ray, in his book “The Science of Success” says, “Gratitude is not only the mother of virtues, it is the mother of all life’s benefits.  It brings love, health, happiness, and prosperity.  Gratitude sets up a field of attraction more powerful than any other—attraction so strong that it cannot help but bring your vision to into reality.”

I think we all are familiar with the Law of Gratitude, but we sometimes just need a reminder and new insight into how important it is and what will happen if we apply it every day.

This is one of the best known natural laws in the universe that we all
know about , the other name for it is the Law of Sowing and Reaping.

“ As you sow, so shall you reap.”  Every one of us has heard this at
one time or another in our life in church , in school, or from some leader.

What you give out will come back to you every time.  It’s like the law of
gravity — what goes up must go down.  I never hear about a person
who does good things for people and bad things come back to him.  No,
that is why it is also a bible principal that “whatever you sow, so shall
you reap.”  It does not just refer to seeds of flowers or corn or maize,
but also words or deeds.

The other principle link to this law is the Law of Time, which many people
do not understand, and is why so many people give up on their
business —especially in network marketing.Let’s look at a perfect
example — the Chinese bamboo tree.  If you plant it now, it will take 5 years
before it starts to grow, but then, with the proper care, it only takes 6 weeks it
grow 90 feet tall.  However, if you were not to give it water during that first 5
years, it would not grow and it would eventually die.The same is true in your life.

Things don’t happen overnight. Yes, you can fall in love over night, but if you do not give  love every day, it will die, as a flower with out water. The same with
your MLM or networking business.  You can decide to join a business in one
moment, but the moment does not give momentum. You have to provide the
momentum for your business by going out and reaching out to people consistently every day for the next 2 to 3 years on the average in order to get where every networker wants to be, and that is financial freedom.

Yes, you do have companies that pay out big fast-start commissions, but you
need to keep on building and help your team every day.  That is the water for
your MLM tree.  The big fast-start bonuses will not put you into Financial freedom. It’s only like getting a free tank of petrol when you buy your new car, but you have to keep putting petrol in it in order to keep on driving.

Before you can reach the point of financial freedom  where you can give out
money and do good things with it, you need to first give your time, love, help,
and good energy to your team, and what you give will come back to you.  If you
give only 5%, then 5% percent or less will come back to you.  But if you give
100%, then 100% or more will come back to you.

Let’s look at one last example to explain the Laws of Time and Giving.  If you plant a young tree today, you can’t sit under its shadow the next day or week or even a year.  No, it takes years to grow until it is a big and strong tree where you can sit under it and enjoy the beauty and the shade in the  summer.  And some trees grow so big that you and your whole family can sit under them.

The same is true for your business.  You need to give everything you have before you can sit under your business tree with your team and enjoy the benefits of true financial freedom.

So ask yourself, what did I give to my business and my team today?  Was it my time? My help and support?  Did I set an example?  Was it a good or bad example? Because examples leave footprints that will either lead to financial failure or to financial freedom.

Who is the winner ?

It is weekend again and time for some wisdom.
I just received this wisdom last week after one of my down line phoned me about an opportunity and said you will make X amount of money and all you need to do is to get three people into the business, and then your job is done.

That is one of the biggest reasons people do not succeed in network marketing, on and offline, and to be honest, I have done it myself.
Let’s use an example in story form to explain what too often happens.
One day there was a competition to see who will be first between two people. The rule was that you can use up to three cars to get from point A to point B that is 1000 miles away.

Driver one picks a Porsche, Ferrari and a BMW sports car.  Driver two chooses only a Toyota family car that can only drive 100miles per hour.

When the race starts, driver one jumps in his Porsche and drives one mile, runs back to the Ferrari and overlaps the Porsche by one mile, runs back to the BMW and does the same, then runs three miles back, jump in to the Porsche and repeats the same process over and over again.

In the meantime, driver two just keeps on driving.  Do we need to say who wins the race? I think it is common sense that the second driver with the Toyota won it by several days. The other driver got tired of running and started to walk well before he was half way.

My question is, why don’t people use the same common sense in network marketing.  They join every MLM that promises that they will make all the money in the world if they join XYZ companies. And all the time they tell you they are the best MLM in the world.

I have some bad new to those people who try to tell you that, because there is no good or bad or the best MLM out there.  There are only people out there who are single-minded and focus on one opportunity that will make them successful, and it does not matter if that MLM has the poorest pay plan in the word, because the end goal of any network marketing company is sell their product and get you to the point of financial freedom.

What I want to say is, decide what network marketing company you want to focus on, get yourself a system that you want to use for online marketing, and stay with it until the end. Learn what the leaders are doing in the industry and follow their advice.  There are many of them out there.  Jim Rohn was the best, and his legacy is still with us.  Then there are people like Eric Warre and many others that you might know?

I hope this wisdom helps you understand why you really only need one MLM to make a success and to get out of the rat race.

Can you Help me pleas ?

Tech Support: Yes, … how can I help you?

Customer: Well, after much consideration, I’ve decided to install Love. Can you guide me though the process?

Tech Support: Yes. I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?

Customer: Well, I’m not very technical, but I think I’m ready. What do I do first?

Tech Support: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located your Heart?

Customer: Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it okay to install Love while they are running?

Tech Support: What programs are running?

Customer: Let’s see, I have Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge, and Resentment running right now.

Tech Support: No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory but it will no longerdisrupt other programs. Love will eventually override Low Self-Esteem with a module of its own called High Self-Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and Resentment. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed. Can you turn those off?

Customer: I don’t know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?

Tech Support: With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and Resentment have been completely erased.

Customer: Okay, done! Love has started installing itself. Is that normal?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.

Customer: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, “Error - Program notrun on external components.” What should I do?

Tech Support: Don’t worry. It means that the Love program is set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself before you can Love others.

Customer: So, what should I do?

Tech Support: Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.

Customer: Okay, done.

Tech Support: Now, copy them to the “My Heart” directory. The system willoverwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming. Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

Customer: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files. Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart.Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running. One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give itand its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some coolmodules back to you.

Why is partnership important to be successful in life ?

In summery we can put it in this way : In five years from now we will be the sum total of who we are today plus four other elements: the books we read, audio’s (CD’s, DVD,) we look and listen to, the seminars we attend ( Online and offline ), and the people with whom we spend time with.

My question is why don’t we want to learn from successful people? They are where you want to be but most people love to take the hard road by try to do it on there own and that it is wrong to ask questions. Well I got some bad news for the people that think like that because The most stupid question ever asked, is the question that was never been ask.

A other problem is that people are sitting in a competition mode and they forget that what you think about you bring about so the are scared the next person will make more money than he make and by doing so he attract it into his or her life and guess what happen ? Yes the other person makes more money than him.

The only real competition you will ever have in life the competition between the positive thoughts of your disciplined mind and the negative thoughts of your undisciplined mind. There is more than enough for every one out here in the universe.

Successful people will always tell you to go and learn from success full people, they will tell you to take a successful person for dinner and ask him questions or to start a mastermind group to leverage your time to become Success.

With the mastermind group, you will begin to automatically assist others in achieving their goals, which by Law, will begin to attract like energies into your life.

Put yourself in the proper vibration…create and attract your vision, begin to choose associates and friendships that are in harmony with who you are becoming. These are and will be people who believe in you and will support the reality of what you are creating.

One of the best thing you can do for your self is to get your self a mentor, Mentors are people who have already achieved a level of success to which you aspire, and to whom you can go for guidance and insight. Having a mentor is one of the most powerful partnerships

you can create. You will increase both the level and the speed of your success by working with a great mentor. All highly successful individuals have had powerful teachers.

The Third Power Principle is the Power of Vision, it help us to create a clear mental picture of the life we want to live.

What you think about you bring about, there for we attract to us people and circumstances that vibrate in harmony with our thoughts. To get what we want, we must plant those thoughts firmly in our mind. We must nurture them, give them attention, focus on them and become them. We must align body mind and spirit with what we desire.

The first things we need to do is to get a clear vision of what we want and were we want to go in life. The Bible says “Where there is no vision, the people perish.

What is a vision? “A vision is your mental picture of the life you want to lead.”

To be successes full create the highest vision you can dream and deposit it in to unconscious mind. See with your minds eye as if you all ready accomplish it.

Now you can ask, what do I need do get to your vision and the answer to that Question is you need to have goals. Goals will keep your moving in the direction of your Vision it is like a stepping stone that will get to your Vision.

For example if you want to become a Doctor that run a privet Hospital. Your first step will be to complete school and to go to university then it will be to complete university after that you need to start to work as a GP and then start to invest your money in away that you will be able to get the loan from the bank when you need it, Then you need to plan how your New privet Hospital how it will look like and put it down on paper and you must put down dates when you want to do and finish every thing, when the time come that you apply for the loan every thing will be in place for you to build your Hospital. And that is how you can get to your Vision.

They say if you do not know were you want to go in life you will fall in someone ells plan and ges what they did plan for you ? Well not a lot it mite be the tea lady or the person that stand at the till everyday to help his customers.

“Most people don’t get what they want in life because they don’t know what they want.”

There is also small things you need to do to make your vision your reality, First you need create it in your mind’s eye and see your self as if you already poses it, then you need to Write it down with your goals. You also need faith and belief that you can accomplish it because if you do not have faith in your self then you telling your mind that you cant do it and as the “Genie” in “The Secret” Say “Your Wish is my Command”.

The last thing you need to do is to visualize it every day to give your mind something to work on.

Here is an Exercise you can use to do it every day .Remember that your unconscious never sleep and the best time to do this is before you go to sleep each night. The last thought you think each night before drift off to sleep is what you give you unconscious mind to work with all night long.

Does this before you fall to sleep: Relax as your head sinks into the pillow begin to feel your self living your vision. Make it colorful and emotional. Be within the Picture, Imagine yourself walking, talking, and feeling as if you already have your vision in physical form. Hear the sound, feel the emotion, smell the smell, touch the textures, and see the sights. Then hold that Picture as you drift off to sleep.

What is a Paradigm ? It is your way how you see thing in life and how your mother and Father, Teachers and Preachers explain to you how life work from there point of view.

That do not mean they was Right or wrong but it mean they were broad up with a set of rules or programming of there mind that do not serve you if you want to become success full in life or to have the money you love to have.

One of the thing they could teach you is not to take a risk or to lookalways to the problem than the answer to a problem and that can become your mind set or Paradigm.

Joel Arthur Barker the Author of “Paradigms” put it this way “To ignore the power of paradigms to influence your judgment is to put yourself at risk when exploring the future. To be able to shape your future, you  have to be ready and able to change your paradigm.”

To be Successful you need to understand your mind set and how you see things in life and if you want to change it. Otherwise, your hidden beliefs will drive you.

If you want to change your results, you must change your mindset.When you shift (change) your mindset, you change to a new game and a new set of rules. When your game and rules change, your whole

world start to change. You begin to put out different energy, so you attract new kinds of people and situations into your life. When you change your thinking you change your world.

All things are possible to the mind. All the highly-successful individuals throughout time have understood and utilized this truth.When you realize that thought causes all, you will know that the only limitations in your life are the limitations of your own thinking.

A lot of people want to change there lives. They go the this Motivational speaker or make new year’s resolutions and get exited about it or they read a good book or a blog they even make some changes in the first week or two.

But then their energy seems to lag. Their enthusiasm plummets and they are back were they was before they start .And that is because they were trying to change their results with out changing there mindset.

What I am going to do over the next months is to give you the code of the combination lock of Success in your life and Business..

As there is natural  laws in life so there is natural laws of success. Some people know them and apply them others apply some them with out knowing it and then there is the rest that use it in the opposite way and stay broke.

To open a combination you need to know the code and with out the code you are stuck and no key in the world will open the lock. The same with the combination lock of success in life, you need to know the code to open the door of success. I call the key’s I am talking about “ knowledge” and the “Code” Wisdom.

You can go to school have high grades and go to university and accumulate knowledge but if they did not teach you Wisdom you will be stuck at a dead end JOB with no money in the bank. Lets use a Dr for example with negative mindset that did not learn how to apply Wisdom, he will stay a GP fore the rest of his life, But the Dr that learn wisdom and how to apply it will be the owner of a Big Private Hospital. And that is the difference of using a key or using a Code the open the door of success in life.

For a combination lock you need two things you need the nr 1, 2, 9, 4 but you also need to know the direction and how you must turn lock to open the Door.

I see the nr’s as the 7 laws in nature that is always working and the code as the 7 principals of Wisdom you need to apply to open the door of Success.

The 7 Law’s

The Law if The Law of Perpetual : Energy is forever moving into form, through   form, and back into form.

The Law of Vibration: Everything from thought to thing, from the electron to the

cosmos, is in a constant state of vibration.

The Law of Relativity: “Relationships are everything…and Everything is due to Relationships”. Hot only exists because we compare it to cold…”good” exists by comparison to “bad” and so on.

The Law of Polarity: Everything in existence has its opposite and cannot exist

otherwise. High potential is always accompanied by a low potential, failure must be accompanied by the seed of success, and so forth.

The Law of Rhythm: This law states that everything in existence is a dance. In other

words, swaying, flowing, swinging back and forth. You will have highs and lows intellectually, emotionally, and physically, however, through understanding,

you can be at your best regardless.

The Law of Cause and Effect: Every effect must have a cause, and in turn, every cause an effect.

The Law of Gender: The Law of Gender states that the male and female, yin and yang must unite. In order to reap you must first sow.

The 7 Principals are…

1. The Power of understanding
2. The Power of Vision.
   
3. The Power of Mindset.
4. The Power of Partnership.
5. The Power of Giving.
6. The Power of Gratitude.
7. The Power of Accountability

So today I only give you some information that you can looking forward to and if you going to apply it in your life and your Business you will be able to open the door of success in all parts of your life.

My Question to day together with Jack Canfield is what do you want in 2010. If you know were you want to go or be at the end of 2010, you need to put it on paper because it will direct the mind in what direction to go. If you give your mind something to work on every day it will keep it busy the hole day and it will not get time to focus on negative things that will put you off track. If you decide to start a home base business and you are 100% committed to make a success with it your mind will look for things or ways to help you to make a success of it.

The hardest thing to do is the first step in a new direction but as you go on it will get easier if you put your heart into it. Put your goals down on paper and start with small and easy ones and build it up from there and that will make you stronger to overcome the big problems and to accomplish the big goals.

What Do You Want?

People who have achieved their goals knew what they wanted in the first place. They decided what to go after, and they went after it. One of the most compelling reasons why people do not get what they want is that they never decided what they wanted! They never defined the desires of their hearts in complete detail.

Why don’t you know what you want? Why isn’t it spelled out in detail in your mind? Most likely, it is because you have lost touch with the desires of your heart. You were probably taught that you couldn’t have whatever you wanted. You were probably taught that it was more important to do what made other people happy. Seeking your happiness was considered selfish, so you learned not to define your happiness. Now, you find yourself completely unaware of what your preferences are, how you really want to live your life, and what your goals are for your life.

Take back your life! Start honoring your preferences, no matter how small they seem. Even if you don’t know what you prefer, pretend you do, and make a decision. You’ll be more keenly aware of whether that decision made you happy or not and you will learn your preferences!

Commit to this new belief: You deserve to have everything exactly the way you want it. Make it a priority to begin to know your wants and desires. Start simple by making a list of things you want to do and things you want to have. Keep writing until you find some of your core values, such as wanting to have loving relationships, to make a difference in your world or to be financially secure.

Think of what you love to do with your time. Write down several things that you love to do, and then make a list of all the ways you can think of to be making a living doing those things. Create a detailed description of the vision you have for your ideal life. Don’t limit yourself. Dream as big as you possibly can from your perspective right now.

In detail, what is going on in the financial area of your life? How much money do you make? How much do you have in savings and investments? What about your real estate? What kind of house or houses do you own? Create detailed visions of all the major areas of your life, your ideal career, your recreation time, your ideal body and physical health, your relationships with family and friends, your spiritual life, and the community in which you live. Create and write down your ideal vision for each area and review it on a daily basis.

All you have to do at this point is clarify your vision to yourself. Don’t worry about how it will happen right now. Once you have a clear picture of what you want going through your mind, the steps and opportunities to get it will appear. When you have completed your ideal vision of your life, share it with a supportive friend. Don’t let anyone talk you out of it! More than likely, they want the same thing for themselves but believe it’s impossible. Deciding what you want is the first step to getting what you want. Friends it is almost new years eve in South Africa

Another year is gone and the main Question is what did you do with it? Did you to reached your goal that you set for your self last year this time or did you just say to your self what will happen will happen and end were you start 2009 and did not move forward in life ? Or are you were you want to be as you layout your goals and dreams for 2009.Did you start a home base Business and set your Goals and stay committed every day? or do you plan to start one in 2010 if you do the time starts now to set your goals for the rest of the year and your new Business.

Well today is the day to set new goals for 2010 and if you work towards it you can make 2010 the best year ever, and that is my wish for every one  but you alone are responsible for that . This is the season for goal-setting. It’s the time to start with a clean slate and fill your slate for 2010 with tangible, incremental, stair steps to your ultimate dreams.

One of the major reasons so few people reach their goals is that most people don’t set specific goals and the mind just dismisses them as irrelevant. Most people want financial security, but have never considered how much money it will take. The mind cannot begin to formulate the strategies and actions required without specific information. Your mind will simply not respond to a request to get rich, have more, do better or make money. You must act like a bank loan officer with your goals.

The reason loan officers want to see a detailed business plan is that they know the entrepreneurs who are precise and specific are the ones who will succeed and pay off their loans.

If you ever begin to feel that you are losing your drive, if you feel like your energy level is down, your frustration level is up and you just can’t seem to muster the enthusiasm to face a challenge, check the pulling power of your goals. You may have outgrown your current targets and present lifestyle. It may be time for motivation by elevation. Raise your sights and challenge yourself with some goals that are farther out on the horizon.

This may require more knowledge, new skills and a new lifestyle. If so, that’s great! Many people resist goal-setting because they assume it leads to a formula-driven, highly uncreative life. Actually, the exact opposite can be true. People who passively assume that everything will somehow work out in the end can hardly be termed creative. They’re not creating their lives, they’re just hoping against hope that something good will happen to them.

Setting worthwhile goals is a much more imaginative approach. It’s fashioning and molding the life of your choice. It’s approaching your life the way an artist might stand before a new canvas, on which a beautiful painting can be crafted. There are other useful metaphors for creativity in goal-setting. The rudder of a plane, for example, is small and rigid, like a short-term goal you might accomplish in just one day. But the rudder can turn the plane in any direction the pilot chooses. In that, there’s a great deal of freedom and flexibility.

Once you set a goal, you can adjust and fine-tune it any way you wish. That’s creativity. And persistence is what allows you to keep progressing toward the goal, no matter how many adjustments are required, and no matter how long it takes to accomplish.

The mind is the most magnificent bio-computer ever created. But remember, like a computer, it only responds to specific instructions, not to vague ideas. So come alive in 2010! Get laser-focused on goals that are just out of reach, but not out of sight.
